The Cincinnati Recreation Commission’s (CRC) Division of Therapeutic Recreation has released their Fall and Winter Program Guide. The Division of Therapeutic Recreation offers leisure services for individuals with disabilities. The services promote healthy lifestyles and provide opportunities to participate in high-quality recreational, social, and cultural experiences in the community, and at their recreation facilities. Whether you like to swim, play basketball, work out at the gym, bowl or handcycle, there is an activity here for you.
New this year: The Game of Life
This program is for teens and young adults who are looking to become more independent and learn new skills! It will focus on key life skills such as cooking, cleaning, transportation, and leisure education. The group will be both discussion and activity based with activities such as planning and cooking a meal, making transportation plans around the city, and planning their own activities. This program will be split up into different focus sections after the first meeting.
SBCC is listening! We advocated for a program that teaches basic life skills based on the needs expressed by our families, so call your friends and get signed up for The Game of Life today!
