10 – 20-year olds with spina bifida are invited to a fun-filled camp that inspires outdoor recreation, self-management, and friendship building. Camp counselors provide personal assistance at the appropriate level for each camper, while helping them connect with others. Nurses are on site for the entire weekend to manage medications, and bowel and bladder programs, as needed.
For the first time, we are excited to include siblings at Empowerment Camp! 10 – 20-year old siblings will enjoy the same activities as those with spina bifida, including archery, zip-lining, s’mores at the campfire, games, crafts and more. In addition, we will have programming created exclusively for siblings.
The cost to attend is:
-$50 for a camper with spina bifida
-$50 for the first sibling
-$100 for each additional sibling
Camp and recreation scholarships are available for campers who require financial assistance. Simply complete this form, and it will be sent to the office for approval.
