Skills for living independently is an issue that has been identified by our families as a priority for emerging adults with spina bifida.
The Mayerson JCC Disability Inclusion Programs in partnership with the Center for Independent Living Options (CILO) is offering an eight-week interactive and practical class on basic skills needed to live independently. These classes will focus on housekeeping basics, healthy eating, cooking basics, emergency and safety skills, exercise, personal appearance and hygiene, money basics, and communication skills.
This class is offered to foster the growth of important skills to improve or maintain one’s independence.
