Our Learn, Lunch & Laugh programs in Cincinnati and Cleveland are quickly approaching. “Let’s Talk About Early Childhood Development” will touch on developmental milestones, developmental delays common in children from birth through age 5 with spina bifida, and developmentally-appropriate activities families can use to encourage development and increase independence.
In Cincinnati, Dr. Steph Weber, Psychologist and LEND Training Director, will be joined by Dr. Nicoletta Frankenstein, Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics Fellow at Parky’s Farm Shetland Shelter in Winton Woods on Sunday, June 17th from 10:30 am – 1:00 pm. Children will explore the farm and participate in the “Farm Friends” program with volunteers while parents remain in the Shetland Shelter for the presentation.
In Cleveland, Dr. Irene Dietz, Developmental Pediatrician and Director of Comprehensive Care at MetroHealth, will present at the Pond Pavilion at Lake Metroparks Farmpark on Sunday, June 24th from 10:30 am – 1:00 pm. Children will explore the farm and participate in an animal program with volunteers while parents remain in the Pond Pavilion for the presentation.
After each presentation, a simple lunch will be served for children and parents in the pavilion. These event s are FREE.
