Mountaineer Spina Bifida Camp Visitor’s Day

Mountaineer Spina Bifida Camp Visitor’s Day

Are you planning to check out Mountaineer Spina Bifida Camp for Visitor’s Day this Thursday, June 15th? Mountaineers Camp is a weeklong accessible camp designed specifically for people with SB ages 8 and up who are looking to acquire confidence in self-management and social skills while engaging in fun camp recreation activities. Hosted for over 35 years, dedicated doctors, nurses, and counselors return each year to assist with activities of daily living and medical needs. Mountaineer Spina Bifida Camp takes place at Cedar Lakes Conference Center in Ripley, WV.

Visitor’s Day is a chance for future campers to see what a typical day looks like at camp, as well as meet key staff (including SBC Board member, Greg Savilla) and look around the campus. Alumni are also invited to return and meet up with old friends on Visitor’s Day. It runs from noon – dinner, so you can join in meals and a few activities. Rhonda, Alexis and Diane from SBC will be there promoting our organization and hosting games and crafts. Rocky and Jimmi Byington, the SBC Board Chair, plan to make an appearance at prom on Wednesday night and stay for Visitor’s Day on Thursday.

Be sure to let Melinda know if you plan to attend SB Mountaineer Camp Visitor’s Day by calling (304) 453-4705. Visitor’s Day is FREE.

We hope to see YOU there!
