4-6 p.m. Disability Pride Walk and Gathering
Smale Riverfront Park
Help celebrate the 28th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) on Thursday, July 26. Put on your SBCC spiritwear and meet at the fountains across from Moerlein Lager House and Great American Ballpark. The walk starts around 4:30 p.m. and will travel through the park. Stay for the free concert at the park after the walk!
Thank you to CILO, Goodwill, Easterseals, the Council on Aging and the City of Cincinnati for their support as we celebrate the Americans with Disabilities Act. This landmark legislation was signed into law by President George H.W. Bush in 1990. The ADA provided the nation’s first comprehensive civil rights law addressing the needs of people with disabilities, prohibiting discrimination in employment, public services, public accommodations and telecommunications.
