Transition Bootcamp 2021

Transition Bootcamp 2021 will be held virtually this year over three days, January 19 – 21, 2021 from 9:00 a.m. – 1:15 p.m.  The virtual conference is for family members, caregivers and professionals of youth/young adults with developmental disabilities. The virtual conference will provide sessions and information on planning and facilitating successful transition from school to adult life in the community.  Registration is just $25 and once you are registered, you will have access to the live sessions, the exhibit hall and other features.  As a participant, you will have access to all of the recorded sessions and conference materials for thirty days.

Sessions will address transition topics such as financial planning for a secure future; applying for and using SSI and SSDI; being safe in the community; addressing challenging behaviors; puberty and sexuality; planning for employment; transitioning from pediatric to adult healthcare; supported decision-making; guardianship and power of attorney and many other topics.

The target audience is family members, caregivers, and professionals who provide care or work with youth and young adults with developmental disabilities between the ages of 13 and 30.
