Beth Hansford has joined SBC as our new Administrative Assistant and will be helping Rhonda with data management and financial duties.
After four years at Cedarville University, Beth moved back to Cincinnati to start an online Spanish tutoring business and also work as an assistant at Online Tutor Business Coach LLC, an organization dedicated to supporting tutors as they grow their own businesses. As someone who lives with spina bifida she has been passionate about disability advocacy for a long time, so the mission of the Spina Bifida Coalition is personal to her.
In her free time, you would probably find her spending time with family and friends, fostering another cat, or working to master another language. Beth has been going to events with SBC for years and has always enjoyed them so much and has made many friends, so she is thrilled to be a part of the team!
Emily Jones is joining Diane in planning and implementing programs for SBC as the Program Assistant.
Emily is a Certified Child Life Specialist at Cincinnati Children’s hospital, with a passion for promoting empowerment, inclusion, and optimal wellbeing for all individuals. She previously worked for the Adaptive Care and Behavior Safety Teams at Children’s and recently transitioned to a part-time role with the new Heart and Mind Wellbeing Center.
She was also a Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental and related Disabilities (LEND) graduate, which is where she first learned about SBC and met Diane! She has had the opportunity to connect with a number of people with spina bifida and their families through her work at Children’s and the LEND program, and is so excited for the opportunity to join SBC and support the incredible work of this organization.
In her personal time, Emily enjoys spending time with her family, trying new recipes, and being outdoors.
