Mountaineer Spina Bifida Camp is an accessible camp specifically designed for people with SB ages 8 and up who are looking to acquire confidence in self-management and social skills while engaging in fun camp recreation activities. Hosted for over 35 years, dedicated doctors, nurses, and counselors return each year to assist with activities of daily living and medical needs. Although camp is funded through donations, fundraising events, and sponsorships, there is a sliding scale for registration fees. This year, Mountaineer SB Camp will take place at Cedar Lakes Conference Center in Ripley, WV from June 10th – 16th. To learn more, call Melinda Gobson (304) 453-4705. Over the age of 18 and interested in being camp staff for the week? Call Alisha Chrest (304) 553-6357.
